From the moment I saw the image, I knew I wanted to capture images of the Omega Ruby scanner. Whether I was taking a class or teaching, the images were always the same. This is because I knew the same principles, and I wanted to share them with all of my students.
One of the things that I teach, is how to capture an image of any object I see in the real world. The Omega Ruby is the first thing I’ve ever made, and it’s definitely one of my favorite projects. It’s because it’s so well-thought out and so cool that I wish I could say that I’d captured it before, but the truth is I didn’t take a picture until after I finished writing this article.

This is another one of those things that everyone seems to be saying at the same time, and I can’t be the only one who’s thinking “this is the best scanner I’ve ever owned, what if they make the scanner smarter, and I dont have to be a computer?” But then I think about the scanner itself, and it turns out that it could be a very expensive piece of kit, and I don’t think I’d want to be holding it in my hand very much.
I don’t think the scanner is as good as the others, but it’s still a great deal. You can have it for $120, which is the price of the first 3D model I built. I guess that’s a lot of money, but it was worth every penny.
